Following on from his debut solo album Hemisphere released in April 2020, Melbourne based singer / songwriter Jase Old is set to release his new track One By One on the 17th of September.
In One By One, Jase delivers a song of optimism, positivity and unity, “one by one, stand together all of us, can march as one”. As the title track of his forthcoming solo album, it’s a thread that continues through the album, along with pain, love and loss.
Just as with Hemisphere, One By One gives Jase the opportunity to even further define himself as a solo artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Sure, there’s some familiar elements for those who know him as frontman for melodic-rockers The Radio Sun and the more AOR leaning StarChase. But being able to fully tap into his wide-ranging musical influences is what Jase has been relishing most on this journey as a solo artist.
"The vision for this second album was to not be genre-specific and to give myself the freedom to explore different musical textures and whatever else inspires me as I’m writing. I just have an honest love of music and writing”.
Also expect some upcoming live dates to be announced when Lockdown restrictions allow, with Jase raring to deliver these songs in the setting that he excels most. “I can't wait to be able to get back to playing live, in both acoustic mode which I love for its raw intimacy which some of the songs lend themselves more too and full-on rock show with my full band.”
Stay tuned for news of further single releases and details around the album release. One By One will be available on all digital platforms 17th of September.
