What To Watch

Mean Man - The Story Of Chris Holmes

Watched this on Amazon Prime a few weeks back and whilst not being the most massive W.A.S.P fan, this was one of the best music doco's I've watched in recent times.  As well as obviously covering Chris's time as guitarist for the infamous W.A.S.P and his trials and tribulations with Blackie Lawless, it also details the current day based in Cannes, France, touring Europe and forging ahead as a "solo" artist.  Oh and you betcha that iconic pool scene from Decline Of The Western Civilization is featured!

What To Read

2019 A Year Before Lockdown

Prior to COVID, life was a lot simpler. Experiencing live music was a lot simpler.

Australian artists toured the country, Australian audiences filled the venues,
and Australian photographers captured many of these shows.

2019 – A YEAR BEFORE LOCKDOWN documents life leading up to lockdown,
where 58 Australian photographers captured 200+ Australian artists during simpler times.

Awesome photos, awesome photographers and part of the proceeds from the sale of this book go towards Support Act.

What To Listen To

I had the pleasure this week of chatting with none other than the legend himself, Ginger Wildheart the frontman of The Wildhearts, one of the greatest English rock bands of the past 30 years!  Today (September 3rd) The Wildhearts released their new album 21st Century Love Songs.  An album chock full of massive riffs, The Wildhearts energy and chaos and an anger that talks of these times we are currently living.

Video(s) Of The Week

Myles Kennedy - A Thousand Words

The video for “A Thousand Words” finds MYLES reconnecting with director Stefano Bertelli (Alter Bridge’s “Native Son”/MYLES KENNEDY’s “In Stride” video) for another animated masterpiece. The video shows MYLES reflecting on life at an open grave as he sings the thought-provoking lyrics “Cause in times like these, we must live and learn.”  One of the many amazing tracks off latest album The Ides Of March.  Read more...

Nestor - Tomorrow

Swedish melodic rockers Nestor have just dropped this gloriously epic track and brought along Samantha Fox (yes...the Samantha Fox) who appears both in the video and singing on the track!  This is a must watch!!!
