Brad Cook new single + video ‘Shake It’ with new EP ‘Time To Fly’ out now!

Following the release of lead single, The Planet of Love, earlier this month, modern blues/rock artist, Brad Cook, has dropped his first solo EP, Time to Fly, as well second single and music video, Shake It, out now across digital platforms.

Shake It can be described as a raunchy up-tempo love song. One of the last songs Cook wrote for Time to Fly, it’s about a lover that’s sexy, ravishing, and seductively knows how to shake you to the very core.

I wrote the main guitar riff, and then the rest of the song basically fell together very quickly,” says Cook. “The lyrics are very tongue in cheek, with some underlying truth in the words.”

The approach to the song comes from influences including Lenny Kravitz, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, where groove drives the direction of the song.  The whole feel and energy of Shake It can be found all over the EP, which was the result of a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears from Cook.

With blistering retro guitar prowess and powerful classic rock overtunes, and performing and singing every song on the record, Time to Fly highlights Cook’s love and passion for the blues and psychedelic rock music.  Check it out here or at

Brad Cook is an Australian Modern Blues Artist, with a Psychedelic Classic Rock twist.
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Brad Cook’s love for music and the guitar started at an early age when introduced to the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, The Doors, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and many more classics all having a huge influence on him.
He gravitated to the guitar at the age of 17, and within 6 months of learning, though underage, he was performing in working cover bands throughout some of Sydney’s grittiest and rockiest venues.
At the age of 19, he felt the need to advance on the guitar and began taking guitar lessons with iconic Australian Guitarist Dave Leslie of Baby Animals, who is a massive influence on his playing and has remained close friends with him to this day.
His love for music grew passionately, and he began writing songs, which ended up becoming music for his very first recording act ‘SMOTHER’. He toured around Australia in a 22-‐seater bus for 3 years straight in SMOTHER, supporting some of Australia’s biggest Musical Acts including Jimmy Barnes. At the end of that lengthy tour, he relocated to Melbourne, Australia with the band and continued to write, record and perform with them. After being in Smother for nearly 15 years, releasing three independent recordings and performing in some of the biggest venues around Australia, he found himself without a band.
He decided to throw himself out there into the thriving Melbourne band scene, and auditioned in some great original bands, including Electric Mary. He ended up joining established Melbourne band “The Eternal” and had a three-‐year stint with them that included many live performances, support spots with Uriah Heep and Amorphis, and released three recordings with the band -‐ When The Circle Of Light Begins To Fade (2013), Sombre Light 2014 (Anniversary EP 2014), Circle Of Live CD / DVD (2015)
In 2018 he decided to start writing songs without a project in mind. This process was to help him navigate through some hard times. These songs were never meant to see the light of day. But something deep inside of him made him realise that these were the truest songs that he had ever written.
So in 2019, he committed to recording these songs with the idea to release them as a solo project. The recording process saw its fair share of obstacles and challenges, but he pushed on – and now, here we all are in 2020…
Brad has also performed and shared the stage with many various working shows including:

  • APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION – Australia’s Guns N’ Roses Tribute
  • OVERLOAD – Blues / Classic Rock Tribute
  • SUPERUNKNOWN – Chris Cornell / Soundgarden / Audioslave Tribute
  • BOWIE EXPERIENCE – UK David Bowie show
  • COMPUTER BLUE – Prince Tribute
  • REWIND 80’s Tribute Band – 80’s music Tribute
  • THE DOORS OR PERCEPTION – Australia’s Doors Tribute
  • BABY ANIMALS – Iconic Australian rock band

Wicked Smile Release New Single + Video ‘Wait For The Night’

Australian heavy rock band Wicked Smile have released a new single called ‘Wait for the Night’.

Like in many parts of the world, living in Melbourne, Australia has been tough for the greater community. The past eight months has seen the pandemic spread in Melbourne, forcing everyone into harsh lockdown. Therefore, the band had no option but to write and record new music in isolation. The video for the single shows the boys recording their parts in their homes, separated – yet soldiering on.

This comes after their recently released debut ep titled ‘Delirium’ to very favorable reviews.

The band is fronted by charismatic powerhouse lead vocalist Danny Cecati (ex Pegazus & Eyefear) with Stevie Janevski (The Radio Sun, ex Black Majesty & Cyclone Tracy) on guitars, Glen Cav (Virtue) on bass and Jason Tyro on drums.

The four song EP is produced by Paul Laine (The Defiants) and is mastered by Bruno Ravel (The Defiants/Danger Danger).

Danny and Stevie are no strangers to the world stage, having both toured around the world with their respective bands and performed at prestigious festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Masters Of Rock, Metal Universe, Hard Rock Hell, and Screamfest amongst others. The boys have released a whopping twenty- five full length albums combined. Match fitness? – Absolutely!!

Guitarist Stevie Janevski goes on to say, “we released our debut single ‘We Fall’ earlier in the year, an in your face uptempo song to give everyone a taste of what we are about. It received such a fantastic response worldwide that people wanted to hear more right away.

Vocalist Danny says “I’ve really enjoyed putting my stamp on these songs. It’s allowed me to put my heart and soul into them and really capture the emotion of the lyrics. We cover important issues such as government and decision making in the song ‘We Fall’ and discuss the human state of mind in ‘Daze Of Delirium’. Another talking point is the track ‘Stronger’ which was written by Stevie to highlight the issue of bullying in schools and in society as a whole.

Danny states, “songs like ‘Love’s Got A Hold On You’ sound huge in rehearsals. We’re definitely loud and proud!”

Fans of bands such as Judas Priest, Dio, Skid Row, etc. should feel at home, with the band drawing major influence from seventies and eighties heavy rock and heavy metal.

Radio has also really taken to Wicked Smile. Steve Price at ARfm radio called the band “kickass Australian rock with killer vocals”. Wicked Smile were Number 1 on 97 Underground, Power song of the week on the Nite Flight Rock Show and the Number 1 song on the Friday Night Rock Show. U.K. scribe Powerplay Magazine also awarded the EP with top marks awarding the band ten out of ten in the September 2020 issue.

A recent WEBFEST live appearance via the New Wave Of Classic Rock Group in July was applauded, with the band being the most viewed band in September.

2020 sees the band continue to work on a full length album which is now at the recording stage.

Better Noise Music recording artists and global rock sensation, Bad Wolves release the music video for “Learn To Walk Again”, a song off of the band’s 2019 album N.A.T.I.O.N. that will appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming Better Noise Films release, THE RETALIATORS

Listen here:

The music video for the track features live footage of Bad Wolves performing on their 2019 tour – something fans of the band miss dearly.

THE RETALIATORS is a high-octane horror-thriller, starring Michael Lombardi (FX’s Rescue Me), Marc Menchaca (Ozark, The Outsider) and Joseph Gatt (Game of Thrones) with special guest appearances by some of rock music’s biggest names.

The soundtrack for the film features Tommy Lee, Bad Wolves, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, The Hu, Ice Nine Kills, Escape The Fate and more, and is due out in early 2021.

This song is about changing your life,” explains vocalist, Tommy Vext. “Myself, the guys in the band and a lot of other people in my life were going through a lot of changes when we wrote this. All of us had been going through these trials and tribulations over the last couple of years and the future was unknown. Sometimes you need to be brought to your knees and be willing to try anything to find your way to where you need to be. ‘Learn To Walk Again’ isn’t my story, it is OUR story.”

Along with the music video, the band has launched a campaign to give back to their fans for an amount of up to $25,000, in partnership with Once Upon A Coconut and Huntington Beach Toyota. Fans are posting their stories of when they were knocked down and had to “Learn To Walk Again” on social media, in order to enter a giveaway and win a special delivery from the band.  More information about this can be found on

Eva Under Fire “Heroin(E)” Video Lifted From Sno Babies Soundtrack

Detroit- based rock band, Eva Under Fire, are proud to release the video for their first song released with Better Noise Music, “Heroin(e).” The song is included on the recently-released soundtrack for the film Sno Babies (Better Noise Films), enhancing the film’s message of hope and the power of recovery.  SNO BABIES streams Sept 29 via Video On Demand.

Stream the track here:

More than just a movie, SNO BABIES is a call to action – a reminder that the drug epidemic remains a crisis, exacerbated by the COVID pandemic, and that through the power of our networks and communities we can save lives.

SNO BABIES depicts the grim realities of addiction and its effects on a middle-class suburban town. Kristen and Hannah are best friends–smart, likable and college-bound– and also addicted to heroin. The pair of seemingly unlikely addicts spiral down a path of destruction, hiding their secret from well-meaning but busy parents behind pink bedrooms and school uniforms SNO BABIES shows how easy it can be to both miss and hide the signs of addiction.  The film, produced by Allen Kovac, Mike Walsh and Michael Lombardi, stars Katie Kelly (Game of Silence), Paola Andino (Queen of the South), Michael Lombardi (Rescue Me) and Shannan Wilson (Elementary).

Every facet of this project raises money for The Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI), the first and only national community foundation dedicated to funding support services for people in early recovery from substance use disorders. Every sale and stream of the Sno Babies soundtrack (including “Heroin(e)”) and of the film helps someone in recovery. Other artists with songs in the soundtrack include labelmates Sixx:A.M., Escape The Fate, Bad Wolves and From Ashes To New among others

“Heroin(e)” is an emotional song lyrically, touching on the issues of substance abuse, something lead singer Amanda Lyberg knows far too much about. “I wrote this song because I lived this story. My parents struggled with substance abuse my entire life with one surviving it and the other not,”  Amanda continues, ”It honestly means the world to me that this song is part of the Sno Babies film. We are all screaming the same message: Awareness is needed! Recovery is real!”  The film and music video’s director, Bridget Smith, says of the connection “The song speaks to Kristen’s inner journey when she decides she must save herself and she’s not responsible to save her friend from her addiction.”

Eva Under Fire got their start five years ago and instantly began cutting their teeth in the underground rock scene, building an enthusiastic fanbase the old-fashioned way. However, the band’s trajectory shifted toward the stratosphere when they sent an unsolicited demo to Better Noise Music, who recognized the band’s hybrid of rock, metal, pop, and classic rock as something wholly unique.  The band has spent the past two years working on their upcoming album, which is set to be their most ambitious and fully realized release to date. “We really wanted to challenge ourselves with this record and focus on melodies and writing the best material that we could come up with,” Amanda explains. “We really came up with the best of the best when it came to our songwriting. Some songs are fun, others are more emotional.”
