Gilby Clarke releases new single ‘The Gospel Truth’ out now

Published

on

In the world of rock, GILBY CLARKE needs no introduction. From crunching legendary chords on his beloved Gibson Guitar in the stadiums with Guns N’ Roses, to getting down into the Snakepit to with his GNR buddy Slash, gracing our TV Screens on the widely watched rock reality show Rockstar: Supernova or creating pure, heartfelt rock music as a solo artist GILBY CLARKE has done it all.

Out on June 29, ‘The Gospel Truth’ is the second single lifted from Gilby’s forthcoming album of the same title, and is about the concept of truth today.

The truth is whatever someone says out loud, no one is accountable and it’s puzzling. Reflecting on an upbringing within the Catholic church, Gilby Clarke reflects on the idea that honesty shouldn’t come from fear, and encourages the listener to be brave, say what you mean, and mean what you say.

His previous single ‘Rock n’ Roll Is Getting Louder’ released back in February, is a true stormer of a track in pure Gilby fashion – rock n’ roll doused in the influences that run through Gilby’s veins.

ABOUT GILBY CLARKE

GILBY CLARKE has played in both Guns N’ Roses and The MC5. Who else can claim membership in two of the most life-altering and influential rock ’n’ roll outfits to ever exist on the planet?

But none of that overshadows the fact this guitarist, singer and songwriter was a 17-year-old punk from Cleveland whose Hollywood dues were paid in full. Before joining the Guns N’ Roses circus, Gilby was Kim Fowley’s go-to session guitarist and ghost writer. After playing with Hollywood bands Candy and Kill For Thrills a late-night call from Slash changed everything. Gilby joined Guns in ’91.

He appeared on the band’s Spaghetti Incident, Live Era ’88-’91 and The Greatest Hits albums. Gilby spent years on the Use Your Illusion tour in the 90s.

After Guns imploded, armed only with his Les Paul, Gilby went back and launched his solo career. Receiving critical winks for his albums Pawnshop GuitarsThe HangoverRubber99 Live and Swag. Recording and/or touring over the lean years with Nancy Sinatra, Heart, The MC5 & his old bandmate Slash’s Snakepit, Gilby even snuck in videos with GNRMichael Jackson and Fall Out Boy when MTV was de rigeur.

Clarke currently splits his services with Kings of Chaos led by Matt Sorum and an all-star alumni that has featured Steven Tyler, Joe Elliot and Gene Simmonsand his solo band.

Clarke, who’s an old school mash-up of Keef, Johnny Thunders, and B.B. King, continues to write fist-jacking rock ’n’ roll songs with fat choruses, and appear on stages around the globe. He produces worthy bands too. He’s also one of the sweetest gents you’ll ever meet. He’s a guitar hero, certainly, but also a gentleman whose heart happens to rush at rock ’n’ roll speed.

Skid Row Sign Globally To EarMusic. New Album To Follow In 2022!

Published

on

earMUSIC is very happy to announce the latest worldwide signing of iconic US Hard-Rock band SKID ROW which marks another outstanding artist addition to the labels roster.

The band just started to work on its new studio album with producer Nick Raskulinecz who comes with an impressive track record from his latest works with bands such as Foo Fighters, Rush, Halestorm, Evanescence, Velvet Revolver and Alice in Chains.

The band sends the following comment straight from the studio:
“We are extremely excited to have signed with earMUSIC. Not only do we have an incredible team to work with, but we are label mates with iconic artists like Deep Purple and Alice Cooper. To say we are psyched is an understatement.”-  SKID ROW

SKID ROW is a multi platinum act coming along with a solid bunch of Top Ten singles and the bands second album, ”Slave to the Grind“ peaked at #1 at US Billboard Charts in 1991.

New Jersey kids, punk and metal attitude, determined to conquer the world. All for one, banded together with single-minded purpose. The battlefield was the stage, the songs their arsenal in an us-against-them musical coup d’état.

In the last 5 years the band entered a new exciting phase by finding the perfect match with lead singer ZP Theart (Ex DragonForce, Tank) who already showed his skills and perfect range on the bands latest tours in 2016 thru 2019 all over the world. The band will prove the magic of their new band chemistry on the new album coming to you in 2022!

Max Vaccaro (General Manager earMUSIC):
“We have been given the chance to listen to many songs in pre-production stage and we were completely impressed by the energy and the songwriting quality. Skid Row have reached great levels of success in the 80s and the 90s but we are sure that they have all they need today to open a new chapter in their career and return to be one of the leading names in the hard rock world“

The legendary rock group also, recently joined the talent division at Primary Wave Music as a management client. Eric Baker, a partner in Primary Wave’s music management division and based in the company’s west coast office, will handle day to day responsibilities for Skid Row.

More news to come soon!

SKID ROW is:
Vocals – ZP Theart
Guitar – Dave Sabo
Bass – Rachel Bolan
Guitar – Scotti Hill
Drums – Rob Hammersmith

All Good Things join forces with Hollywood Undead to release ‘For The Glory’!

Published

on

Next-generation rock group All Good Things just dropped a monstrous new version of their anthemic hit “For The Glory,” now featuring Johnny 3 Tears and Charlie Scene of Hollywood Undead.

The track, an unapologetic victory song for the underdog, with lyrics like “We celebrate with the city tonight/ Hear the hometown cheer/ It’s the ultimate high,” has already resonated with millions of listeners around the world with its original version reaching over 100M streams across digital platforms to date. This new, amplified rendition comes ahead of the band’s first full-length studio album since signing with Better Noise Music, due later this year.

“For The Glory (featuring Hollywood Undead)” is now available to stream or download now

To accompany the release of the new version of the single, the band also premiered a music video today, directed by Wombat Fire. Featuring footage from the upcoming horror-thriller feature film The Retaliators (in which the song appears, coming later this year from Better Noise Films), the new video very much embodies the band’s origins. The LA-based group began by creating monster rock songs that could be used across media like games, TV and films. They created and expanded this cinematic rock sonic profile in reaction to their growing fan base, who could hear their music featured in countless TV shows, games, films and ads worldwide – including the popular game Mortal Kombat, the NFL Super Bowl 52 broadcast, episodes of “Shark Tank,” “Criminal Minds,” “Vampire Diaries” and ads for Sony PlayStation.

Of this new version the band said, “‘For the Glory’ is a swagger anthem about celebrating a hard earned victory against all odds, with all the people around you that helped get you there. We’re so touched by how many people have connected with this song since we first released it. We love collaborating and are so grateful to our friends Johnny 3 Tears and Charlie Scene from Hollywood Undead for hopping on this and taking it to the next level.”

Johnny 3 Tears of Hollywood Undead added, “It was an honor for us to work with one of the best rock bands making music today. ‘For The Glory’ is already an amazing song, happy we could add our own style to it”

Since signing to Better Noise Music in 2020, All Good Things have seen their music more than double in monthly streams across digital platforms, averaging over 2.8M streams per month for each of their songs. Their first single release with BNM, the high-energy track “Kingdom,” was met with praise from fans and critics alike. Riding the momentum of their ever-growing fanbase worldwide, the band is hard at work on their next studio album due later this year.
