“We are the Nowhere Generation…We are the kids that no one wants
We are a credible threat…To the rules you set…A cause to be alarmed.”
“I’ve come to realize that people want honesty and that music can be a catalyst for change. I think in many ways, we’ve been on a mission to rile people up, and I feel very lucky to be able to do that. Our hope on this record is to jostle people awake, even it if makes you uncomfortable.”— Tim McIlrath
Multi-Gold and Platinum punk rock band RISE AGAINST is back with a provocative and dynamic new album, Nowhere Generation, the group’s first new studio effort in four years. On the upcoming release, the outspoken band points a finger at big business and politics for stacking the social and economical deck against Millennials’, Gen Y’s, and Gen Z’s pursuit of The American Dream. Musically, the album is blazing, aggressive punk rock; lyrically, the eleven songs were inspired in part by input from band members’ young children and Rise Against’s community of fans. Nowhere Generation is set for a June 4 release and is Rise Against’s first with new label Loma Vista Recordings.

Said McIlrath,“Today there is the promise of the American Dream, and then there is the reality of the American Dream. America’s ‘historical norm’ that the next generation will be better off than the one that came before has been diminished by an era of mass social, economic, and political instability and a sell-out of the Middle Class. The brass ring that was promised by hard work and dedication no longer exists for everyone. When the privileged climb the ladder of success and then burn it from the top, disruption becomes the only answer.”
Also, today Rise Against debuts the Nowhere Generation music video, a stark yet dynamic piece shot entirely in black and white that contributes to the cohesive cross-campaign theme of the album: the critique of mainstream pop culture and those at the top who actively work to suppress true equality for all. The video also provides a first look at the visual motif that is woven throughout all aspects of the Nowhere Generation project, such as the album packaging and the band’s socials.
For the Nowhere Generation project, the band worked with the Grammy-nominated creative director Brian Roettinger (Jay-Z, Florence and the Machine, No Age) to craft an impressive and truly inspired capsule of album offerings. Those include:
- CD in a soft pack jacket with a multi-page lyric booklet.
- 12-inch, limited edition vinyl picture disc (exclusive to the band’s webstore).
- Deluxe album edition with a distinctive spinning wheel gatefold jacket with die-cut front cover; a 12-page album art booklet insert, and a bonus 7″ featuring two Nowhere Session versions of album standouts Nowhere Generation + Broken Dreams, Inc; special vinyl color variants for select retailers worldwide as well as the band’s webstore.
- Standard vinyl format that includes a single sleeve, dorado paper-wrapped jacket, with lyric insert featuring metallic ink; multiple special vinyl color variants for select retailers as well as the band’s webstore.
Exclusive versions of the album, on vinyl available at JB HiFi and selected indie stores.

All Good Things join forces with Hollywood Undead to release ‘For The Glory’!
Next-generation rock group All Good Things just dropped a monstrous new version of their anthemic hit “For The Glory,” now featuring Johnny 3 Tears and Charlie Scene of Hollywood Undead.
The track, an unapologetic victory song for the underdog, with lyrics like “We celebrate with the city tonight/ Hear the hometown cheer/ It’s the ultimate high,” has already resonated with millions of listeners around the world with its original version reaching over 100M streams across digital platforms to date. This new, amplified rendition comes ahead of the band’s first full-length studio album since signing with Better Noise Music, due later this year.
“For The Glory (featuring Hollywood Undead)” is now available to stream or download now
To accompany the release of the new version of the single, the band also premiered a music video today, directed by Wombat Fire. Featuring footage from the upcoming horror-thriller feature film The Retaliators (in which the song appears, coming later this year from Better Noise Films), the new video very much embodies the band’s origins. The LA-based group began by creating monster rock songs that could be used across media like games, TV and films. They created and expanded this cinematic rock sonic profile in reaction to their growing fan base, who could hear their music featured in countless TV shows, games, films and ads worldwide – including the popular game Mortal Kombat, the NFL Super Bowl 52 broadcast, episodes of “Shark Tank,” “Criminal Minds,” “Vampire Diaries” and ads for Sony PlayStation.
Of this new version the band said, “‘For the Glory’ is a swagger anthem about celebrating a hard earned victory against all odds, with all the people around you that helped get you there. We’re so touched by how many people have connected with this song since we first released it. We love collaborating and are so grateful to our friends Johnny 3 Tears and Charlie Scene from Hollywood Undead for hopping on this and taking it to the next level.”
Johnny 3 Tears of Hollywood Undead added, “It was an honor for us to work with one of the best rock bands making music today. ‘For The Glory’ is already an amazing song, happy we could add our own style to it”
Since signing to Better Noise Music in 2020, All Good Things have seen their music more than double in monthly streams across digital platforms, averaging over 2.8M streams per month for each of their songs. Their first single release with BNM, the high-energy track “Kingdom,” was met with praise from fans and critics alike. Riding the momentum of their ever-growing fanbase worldwide, the band is hard at work on their next studio album due later this year.

BILLY F GIBBONS (ZZ Top) Releases ‘West Coast Junkie’, The First Track From Forthcoming HARDWARE Album
Hardware, the third solo album from ZZ Top front man Billy Gibbons, has wrapped recording and post-production and is set for release June 4th by Concord Records. The album was recorded at Escape Studio in California’s high desert, near Palm Springs, and was produced by Gibbons along with Matt Sorum and Mike Fiorentino with engineer Chad Shlosser providing additional production. The album’s release is preceded by the release of the single ‘West Coast Junkie’ which is out now. The video for the track was filmed near Joshua Tree, a stone’s throw from the studio and can be viewed through this link:
Sorum, veteran of Guns ‘N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver and the Cult also serves as Hardware’s drummer and was joined in the album’s core band by guitarist Austin Hanks. The same Gibbons-Sorum-Hanks aggregation recorded The Big Bad Blues, Gibbon’s earlier solo effort for Concord and winner of the Blues Foundation’s Blues Music Award.

While a truly broad spectrum of approaches is notable on the album’s hard driving tracks there is, to be sure, no mistaking the remarkable tone and growling vocals that are hallmarks of Billy Gibbons’ artistry. Elements of traditional hard rock, neo-metal, country rock, new wave, blues and even surf music make Hardware difficult to categorize and it would be a fool’s game to do so. In fact, “Desert High,” the album’s last track, is a spoken word piece accompanied by a sinewy guitar that evokes the legend Gram Parsons whose death 48 years ago took place very close to where Hardware was recorded.
Billy sums up the album’s ecumenical construct, “We holed up in the desert for a few weeks in the heat of the summer and that in itself was pretty intense. To let off steam we just ‘let it rock’ and that’s what Hardware is really all about. For the most part, it’s a raging rocker but always mindful of the desert’s implicit mystery.”
