DEAD LETTER CIRCUS, LAGERSTEIN, DEVILSKIN & BARE BONES ROUND OUT LINEUP IN BRISBANE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 30

TICKETS ON SALE NOW AT HTTP://MJRPRESENTS.COM

Steel Panther is going big. Really, really, really big. Like, outdoor festival style show type of big! And they’re bringing 5 kick ass bands with them to electrify and amaze your eyeballs and ear holes.

Sevendust, Dead Letter Circus, Lagerstein, Devilskin, & Bare Bones will help round out this amazing lineup! Tickets are on sale now for the new Brisbane show and remaining tour dates.

This tour marks the largest venues that Steel Panther will have played in Australia due to growing demand every time they return down under! The ‘HEAVY METAL RULES TOUR’ starts in New Zealand at Powerstation on Sunday October 24th. On Tuesday 26th October they meet up with Sevendust to double-team Australia. Catch both bands at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne on the 26th, at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Newcastle on the 28th, at Hordern Pavilion, Sydney on the 29th and then for the final blow-out at Eaton’s Hill Hotel, Brisbane on Saturday 30th October.

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level YouTube status and a #13 debut for the new album Heavy Metal Rules on the ARIA charts.

Along for the ride are Sevendust, who were last here in 2019 on their tour celebrating the 2018 album ‘All I See is War’. While demonstrating their musical mastery accumulated over more than 25 years as a band and simultaneously destroying all expectations for their live show, Sevendust show no signs of slowing down. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. They released their latest album ‘Blood & Stone’ in October 2020 through Rise Records.

Plini Announces Impulse Voices Australian Tour With Special Guest Stephen Taranto

Published

This July, Sydney guitar-wizard PLINI is set to return to the stage to celebrate the release of his latest album, Impulse Voices. After a year of show postponements and cancellations, PLINI and his band of musical superheroes (Chris Allison, Jake Howsam Lowe and Simon Grove) are thrilled to reunite on stage, performing new songs, old songs and all the notes in between.

“It was definitely a little strange releasing a new album without being able to celebrate it with live shows, but being able to announce these three (and hopefully more soon) has me and my band over the moon! Going to be practising like crazy, putting together a new setlist… I’m even a little excited just to coil cables after the shows. See you all soon!” says PLINI.

To ensure a truly memorable evening, all three shows of this east coast run will be supported by the inimitable STEPHEN TARANTO and his band, playing music from his critically-acclaimed EP Permanence for the first time ever.

PLINI and STEPHEN will also host a music masterclass / Q&A session before each show – an opportunity to ask about their approaches to playing, writing, creativity, music business and more.

PLINI’s last Australian tour sold out weeks in advance, so grab your tickets now!

Just Announced: The Angels’ Greatest Hits, Live In Concert “The Greatest Show On Earth”, Melbourne June 2021!

Published

on

Emerging from lockdown and ready to rock, The Angels have put something special together for their fans, and it doesn’t get any bigger or better than this – an unbelievable greatest hits show, “The Greatest Show On Earth” presented by Mr Damage.

Kicking off in Melbourne initially, with two shows at The Palms at Crown on June 18 and 19, the band is thrilled to confirm a setlist of wall-to-wall hits including ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’, ‘No Secrets’, ‘Take A Long Line’, ‘Shadow Boxer’, ‘Marseilles’, ‘Comin’ Down’, ‘After The Rain’, ‘Face The Day’, ‘Fashion and Fame’, ‘Let The Night Roll On’, ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’, ‘Mr Damage’ and many more.

As the book The 100 Best Australian Albums points out, “The Angels can lay claim to being Australia’s longest-lasting band.” They have been on the road consistently since 1974 and it took a global pandemic to slow them down.  Now the band is itching to get back on stage and they’re not mucking around!

This is the start of a huge year for The Angels as they celebrate some major anniversaries in 2021. It’s 45 years since the release of their debut single ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’, a song that’s now an indelible part of the Australian culture.

This tour also marks the 10th anniversary of Dave Gleeson joining the band, a position he treats with great reverence. “I’m definitely respectful of the fact that I’m not the creator of the Angels’ sound,” Dave says. “And I’m mindful of bringing that energy that Doc brought to the band. But it’s a real treat for me to be up there blasting out songs that I’ve loved since I was a kid.”

Acknowledging their disappointment at the cancellation of Bluesfest recently, Rick Brewster notes, “We were devastated. We all know it’s been a very tough 12 months for the music industry and every music fan. Our relationship with the audience means everything to us and it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to play more shows and reconnect again”.It’s time to get back out there and do what we love doing,” adds John Brewster. “It’s time to rock.”

 Let The Night Roll On!

Chocolate Starfish’s Adam Thompson takes his Bohemian Rhapsody concert back out on the road in 2021

Published

on

After postponing a swag of dates due to COVID-19 in 2020, Adam Thompson is gearing up to take his dynamic Bohemian Rhapsody show back out on the road in 2021. When it comes to magnetic front men, there are few that embody the power and passion quite like Chocolate Starfish’s Adam Thompson. He owns the stage, channels the music, and has audiences eating out the palm of his hand. Showcasing the music of his hero Freddie Mercury and Queen in Bohemian Rhapsody the blockbuster movie soundtrack, live in concert, has already seen Adam perform to sold-out houses and standing ovations.

Chocolate Starfish are known for paying homage to great music. They’ve put on a hugely successful run of Classic Album Series concerts, with an ode to Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell (2017) and INXS’s KICK (2018), bringing the music to life with their powerhouse performances. Now, the band are stepping aside to let their electric and engaging lead singer – lover of life, singer of great songs – pay tribute to the immeasurable talent of Queen, Freddie Mercury and the acclaimed soundtrack of the smash-hit Golden Globe winning music biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The Bohemian Rhapsody live in concert was originally just a one-off event, planned for April 2019 in Melbourne. Adam Thompson announced the show just as the biopic landed in theatres in 2018 and the concert sold-out within minutes. Much like the movie, which is reputed as the highest selling music biopic of all time, the live concert concept left music fans demanding more dates. Due to popular demand, Adam Thompson decided to take the live show out on the road.

Chocolate Starfish are widely reputed as one of the best live bands on the scene and Adam Thompson is revered for his showmanship. The band arrived smack bang in the middle of the grunge scene of the 1990s and carved a reputation for doing things their own way. Chocolate Starfish had six top 40 singles and two top 10 albums on the Australian charts, gold and platinum record sales and an ARIA for Most Popular Album.

The Bohemian Rhapsody concert will feature hit after hit from Queen’s back catalogue. With tracks such as Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Fat Bottomed Girls, We Will Rock You, Another One Bites The Dust, I Want To Break Free and Under Pressure to name a few, it will be a spectacular evening from start to finish. Adam Thompson is looking forward to exchanging that love and energy of Queen with audiences.
