Tokyo Motor Fist release video for ‘Around Midnight’ and set to release new album ‘Lions’ on July 10th

Published

on

Tokyo Motor Fist’s self-titled debut scratched an itch for music fans who have been starving for new albums from Trixter or Danger Danger (and who also happen to love Def Leppard) and now the band delivers another fix with their sophomore album, LIONS. Once again, the band delivers exactly what fans want and would expect with their catchy and uplifting hard rock.

Featuring Ted Poley (vocals), Steve Brown (guitar), Greg Smith (bass), and Chuck Burgi (drums, Tokyo Motor Fist was birthed out of Ted and Steve’s long standing friendship. They were playing the same club circuit with their respective bands, Danger Danger and Trixter, when both bands were starting their careers. Over the years, they had a great personal relationship and the idea of doing a record together has been in the cards for many years. Now, thanks to Frontiers this concept has become a reality.

Beefy and energetic, “Tokyo Motor Fist” is sure to please not only Ted Poley, Danger Danger, and Trixter’s fans, but all fans of Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Cheap Trick  and melodic hard rock in general. Don’t miss this superb release!

You don’t need to be a die-hard ’80s/’90s hard rock fan to know that the fruits of an artistic alliance between Danger Danger singer Ted Poley and guitarist/producer Steve Brown of Trixter was going to make melodic rock fans rejoice! When the band’s self-titled debut album was released, it was met with the high praise and enthusiasm one would expect from fans of the genre. The fact that the music delivered was even better than what it looked like on paper has had fans clamoring for a follow-up. Rounded out by Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Joe Lynn Turner) on bass and drums, respectively, TMF anticipates hitting the road once the world is back up and running.

Wicked Smile release latest video + single ‘Killer At Large’

Published

on

Australian heavy rock band Wicked Smile have roared into 2021 with a brand new single titled ‘Killer At Large’. This follows on from their 2020 debut ep titled ‘Delirium’ to very favourable reviews.

The new single is again produced by Paul Laine (The Defiants) and mastered by Bruno Ravel (The Defiants/Danger Danger).

Guitarist Stevie Janevski goes on to say, “last year was all about giving the world a ‘taste’ of what we’re about. We’re a five piece kick ass heavy rock band and I think we made our presence known with the release of our Delirium ep”.

The new single ‘Killer At Large’ will no doubt be another talking point with its bombastic wall of sound. Vocalist Danny states, “this is my favourite song so far. It’s heavy, yet melodic and the song fits in perfectly with what we’re about. The energy from the entire band is amazing”.

W.E.T. has announced the release of their fourth album, “Retransmission”. Leading off with first two singles Big Boys Don’t Cry and Got To Be About Love, this album promises to be an album of the year contender in 2021, yes, I’m calling it already!!

Core members Jeff Scott Soto, Erik Mårtensson, and Robert Såll deliver will be releasing the album on January 22, 2021.

W.E.T truly epitomizes what melodic rock has become in the new decade. The key element at the foundation of W.E.T has always been to create a modern melodic hard rock sound that will drive the genre into the future.

Combining powerhouse rhythms and top notch production, the music is equally classic and contemporary. “Retransmission” is nothing else than an absolute milestone, which is well in keeping with the tradition established by the three amazing records that have preceded this one.

Starting with a genre-defining self-titled debut, Robert Såll (the “W” from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the “E” from Eclipse), and Jeff Scott Soto (the “T” from Talisman) accepted the daunting task to give that debut a follow-up, “Rise Up”. After that stellar follow-up, their third opus, “Earthrage”, cemented a legacy of music which will stand the test of time.

Tracklist:

Big Boys Don’t Cry
The Moment Of Truth
The Call Of The Wild
Got To Be About Love

Bad Wolves band promo picture

The Retaliators is a highly anticipated movie on my radar, set to reach theatres in early 2021. a high-octane horror-thriller in which a Pastor and father has to choose between turning the other cheek and taking bloody revenge – it promises to have an equally high-octane soundtrack to match.

Bad Wolves have just released a new music video for their song “Learn To Walk Again”, which appears on THE RETALIATORS movie soundtrack. The track, comes from their second album, N.A.T.I.O.N.

The music video contains footage from the film, in which members of Bad Wolves, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch and a lot more, are featured.

Vocalist Tommy Vext talks about “Learn To Walk Again

“This song is about changing your life. All of us in the band and other people I am close to were going through a lot of changes when we wrote it. We had been going through these trials and tribulations over the last couple of years and the future was unknown. Sometimes you need to be brought to your knees and be willing to try anything to find your way to where you need to be.  ‘Learn To Walk Again’ isn’t my story, it is OUR story.”
