UTSS feat +LIVE+, BUSH & Stone Temple Pilots Announce Rescheduled Dates For Feb 2021

In great news for Under The Southern Stars fans and patrons, the rescheduled dates of +LIVE+, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots tour are announced today!

Despite the unprecedented fall-out from COVID-19, all three bands were resolute in their decision to postpone rather than cancel the tour, determined not to disappoint fans and determined to support the Australian live music scene.

Promoter One World Entertainment has been working hard behind the scenes to secure the new 2021 tour routing and thanks patrons for their patience during this time.

The rescheduled tour – which sees +LIVE+, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots alternate their playing order across nine outdoor and two indoor shows – will commence in Perth on February 16, 2021 and end on the Sunshine Coast QLD on March 7, 2021.

Special guest support acts Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary have also committed to the new dates.

Tickets for the new dates are on sale on Friday, April 3 from 10.00am

+LIVE+ frontman Ed Kowalczyk said: “While the world is in an uncertain place right now, we can be certain that the UTSS festivals will go ahead in early 2021. We are super excited to get in front of our Australian fans so please, keep your tickets for the rescheduled events as they are 100% valid.  We can’t wait to be playing for you very soon, so please come and celebrate with us.”

Gavin Rossdale from BUSH added: “I wanted to reach out to all our fans in Australia and say that UTSS is going to be happening in 2021. Our hearts go out to all the medical teams around the world and the first responder teams that have been taking care of everyone. We’re going to be back better and stronger than ever as an entire human race. Australia, I love you and can’t wait to be there. All tickets will be valid – so much love and take care.”

And STP’s Robert De Leo: “We thank you for your patience as we got all this sorted out. Stay safe, spend some time with loved ones and we will see you all very soon. Much love.”

As has been reported, the Australian music industry has been completely crippled by COVID-19. Those working in lighting, sound, production, rigging, security, site management, catering, ushers, not to mention the musicians themselves, are all now unemployed and, will likely be, for many months.  With so many concerts and events cancelled, the industry desperately needs support and any positive news about the future is welcomed.

+LIVE+, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots have delivered that today by rescheduling rather than cancelling their tour.  We hope that fans will echo their commitment and support the live music scene by retaining their tickets for next year’s rescheduled dates, rather than seeking a refund.

All 2020 tour tickets are valid for the rescheduled festival dates and no exchange is necessary, so just hold on to your tickets and we’ll see you next year.  The rescheduled dates are listed below.

Unfortunately, the concert scheduled for April 3 at Tuncurry NSW cannot be rescheduled, but Tuncurry tickets are valid for the nearby Newcastle or Gosford shows. No exchange is necessary, just present your Tuncurry ticket at either venue on the day. (Further information will be sent directly to all Tuncurry patrons.) The tour has one venue change for the Sunshine Coast, with the show there now being held at the iconic Sandstone Point Hotel on Bribie Island.

For fans unable to attend the rescheduled dates and wishing to re-sell their tickets via a legitimate outlet, the tour‘s official resale partner is Tixel. >
For assistance using Tixel please visit where fans will be able to access FAQs or get in touch.

Fans who are not able to attend the rescheduled dates will be able to apply for a refund via our
event website between the 4th of May and 18th of May 2020.

By today’s announcement, +LIVE+, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots have signalled their support for the Australian live music scene.  So make a diary note of the rescheduled dates, and let’s all look forward to seeing this cracking tour. Roll on 2021 we say……!

Andrew Farriss To Celebrate Release Of His Debut Solo Album With An April / May Tour

To celebrate the release of his first solo album, legendary songwriter Andrew Farriss has announced a special run of tour dates throughout April and May. Andrew’s self-titled album, a collection of songs traversing roots, blues, Americana and country will be released internationally on March 19 through BMG. Andrew has assembled some of the best country musicians from around Australia to perform with him on the tour.

Andrew Farriss hardly needs an introduction to music fans. He is the man behind the songs that sold INXS more than 50-million albums throughout their career. His music with the band has been played constantly on radio stations around the world for over three decades.

Andrew is very excited to be performing again after a lengthy break from the road. The tour is not only the first solo tour undertaken by a member of INXS since the band stopped working live, it is also the debut of Andrew’s more country-influenced songwriting. “For me personally, I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to share my music, and take my style of country music on tour, and play to the people who have supported my career to now, and hopefully some new faces as well,” he says. “Like so many others, we’ve had friends and family whose lives have been impacted by COVID-19, so to be able to take my music out and perform it live around Australia, is a really humbling experience.”

Check out my recent interview with Andrew right here….

The next single from Andrew’s album is released on March 5. Run Baby Run is the perfect prelude for what music-lovers can expect from his album, and the live shows in general. A big song with a vivid story, Andrew effortlessly weaves an old-time reverie with an outlaw country sentiment.

Joining Andrew on his album tour is two-time Golden Guitar winner Andrew Swift. Since finding his feet in the Australian country scene as a Toyota Starmaker grand-finalist in 2017, Andrew Swift as gone from strength-to-strength, his debut album Call Out For the Cavalry debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Charts.

“I’m pleased to have Andrew Swift on board with this tour,” says Andrew. “He is a mate of mine.”

Spend an evening with one of Australia’s most successful and respected artists and experience the craftmanship and beauty of his music and the stories told within the songs. This is a rare opportunity to be taken on a journey through places, emotions, observations and the personal experience of a true legend of the Australian music industry. These shows have limited capacity due to COVID-safe protocols, so book now to avoid missing out on what will be an awesome night of music with Andrew Farriss and his friends.

Andrew Farriss will release his self-titled debut album on Friday 19th March 2021 through BMG. Andrew’s new single, Run Baby Run, is released on Friday 5th March 2021.

The Wolfe Brothers Reveal Dates For Their ‘Startin’ Something’ National Tour 2021!

Australia’s favourite country rockers The Wolfe Brothers are heading back out on the road in 2021 with their highly anticipated Startin’ Something National Tour. After signing a new world-wide record deal with BMG in 2020, the band released two smash hit singles in the second half of the year. No Brakes and Anybody Ever went straight to #1 on the national radio charts, with No Brakes holding the #1 spot for a record breaking eight consecutive weeks. Anybody Ever is still in the charts, currently at #1 for the fifth week in a row. Not only did these two smash hit songs bring the band’s tally to an incredible 14 consecutive #1 singles over their career, but No Brakes was named #1 Song Of The Year on the KIX Network and the 88.9FM end of year Charts.

With a swag of new songs recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020, The Wolfe Brothers are planning to release their new album in the first half of this year. “We are so grateful for the response to the first two singles released from our forthcoming album,” says Tom Wolfe. “The plan is to put out one more single before we release the album and I am super excited to get this one out there.”

Nick Wolfe says the band can’t wait to share the album with fans. “We put a lot of time into this record and I think it shows in how all the new songs have come up,” he says. “Tom and I are really happy with it and can’t wait to release it and to get back out on tour with the new songs. I am sure we will test run some of the album’s songs at all the shows leading up to the release. It is always fun to give everyone a taste of what is to come and get the feedback from the fans.”

The Wolfe Brothers have built an ever-growing fanbase from the quality and energy of their live shows. After a year of being in lockdown and unable to travel, they are ready to get the party rolling again all over Australia with a new show and a bunch of new songs that will take it to the next level.

Book your tickets and join the Wolfe Pack for a great night of Aussie country rock at its best. The Wolfe Brothers special guest for the first two shows in March is two-time Golden Guitar winner Andrew Swift. Since finding his feet in the Australian country scene as a Toyota Starmaker grand-finalist in 2017, Andrew Swift as gone from strength-to-strength, his debut album Call Out For the Cavalry debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Charts.

The series is also very excited to announce that the one and only Cheap Trick have been added to the line up that features global rock superstars, Bush and the Stone Temple Pilots!

With over 5,000 performances spanning four decades, 20 million records sold worldwide, and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cheap Trick are undoubtedly one of the most influential classic rock groups of the past 50 years.

The band was formed in 1974 and while it has evolved throughout the years, Cheap Trick has continued to reach mainstream and critical success. Hits such as “I Want You To Want Me,” “Dream Police,” and “Surrender” have cemented the group as one of America’s top rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time.

Cheap Trick will be releasing their 20th brand new album, In Another World, on April 9!

Cheap Trick comment; “We look forward to joining Bush and Stone Temple Pilots in one of our favourite countries! We will have new record out and are excited to play some of our new songs”

While every effort was made to keep +Live+ on the bill, due to scheduling conflicts and the on going difficulties the world has been subject to, the band are unable to make it to Australia during the new timeframe.

UTSS promoter Andrew McManus comments; “I’m so proud of my team in securing exemption from Commission of Border Control and thankful to all the Captains of Industry, Ministers, Lord Mayors and SA Premier for their letters of support. We are very excited to now be able to announce Cheap Trick as an addition to the line-up, it’s a shame LIVE’s schedule won’t permit the new time frame yet I am sure this triple bill will rock our UTSS audiences to the core!

Being the first live on stage International tour, we are aware the eyes of the world will be on us championing the re-opening of live International touring not only in Australia but globally.
Under the Southern Stars ’21 will be part of history, I urge fans to get in quickly and applaud all for supporting live music and the whole entertainment sector so badly damaged by Covid.”
